Interactive elevation mapping and 3D modeling program
-Tab 1: Click the square icon on the map to define the search boundary box. The zoom and latitude/longitude
fields will automatically populate based on your selection. Increase map zoom for higher data resolution or decrease for
faster processing. Note that excessive zoom values may cause the application to crash due to server restrictions.
-Tab 2: View and modify the 3D model. Adjust the "Height Scale" parameter to modify the plot's vertical exaggeration.
Hover over the 3D model to view point elevations, click and drag to rotate, or scroll to zoom in and out.
-Tab 3: Export elevations to the user-specified file format. Additional export formats are in
development and will be available soon.
Note: STL files will be exported as a unit cube
(i.e., the height, width, and depth of the model are each set to 1 to facilitate custom scaling by the user).
Users can scale the STL file to match the appearance of the digital model shown in Tab 2
by applying the ratios listed below in external software.
